Jul 26, 2006 dinner and movies mike and i went out tonight to watch lady in the water. it was fascinating since it is about a bed time story that came to life. it was as if you were appointed to become part of an ancient tale while you are awake, on this generation. it was refreshing especially on the time of war among countries in teh middle east. nice to know that somebody out there on the fantasy world wanted to help us and would sacrifuce their own children for the sake of mankind. well, better stop there. i dont want to spoil the ending of the story, just in case someody actually reads this crap that i write on this blog. hokay, now, about the dinner. we went on stir fry cafe on turkey creek. of course it was an oriental restaurant but this was unlike the stir fry that i know in palisades mall in new york. they dotn have any mango margarita but they do hace sake cocktails which were basically like regular cocktail mixes but they were using sake as a bas rather tha a gin or vadka. they also have the regular hot and cold sake. also on their list are several good wines and some local and imported draft and bottled broueer. (tange! ibig sabihin nyon "beer!"). the food is excellent. you get your moneys' worth with the amount of food that they give you especially their shrimp and vegetable tempura appetizers. i ate the stir fry beef in balck bean sauce and it was fantastic! (o di ba wala na akong maisip na ingles para sa masarap? gaga! "delicious!") well maybe we will try more next time because i felt loopy and really full after all the stuff that i ate and drank. book of possibilities like queen latifah in last holiday i will try to start a book of possibilities. i really liked that idea since i dream of a lot of things. Maybe everytime i think of something that i would like i will just put in on ablog like a scrapbook of the things that i want to happen in the future. what i want to achieve. what star i want to reach. and to dream the impossible dream. first on my list? to become something else other than a hospital nurse. No hospital administration crap but maybe my own practice as a nurse anesthesist or a nurse practitioner or a forensic expert or a geneticist or damn, i'll dream to become a person who can modify someone's view in religion to completely obliterate terrorism ideas of all religious fanatics in the world. or simply just to have a ray gun to pulvorize people to likes genocide, homicide, infanticide, insecticide --WHATT??? ok, that wasnt part of that (duh!, the insecticide!) anyway, il' have time to do that book some day...hmmm (looking at the stars while dreaming...) soonnnn... failed biking trip & pink panther we tried going for a biking trip today. a little road trip with the mini hoopty (duh, the element!) if i should say the least. but my oh my! it was a disaster. first, we planned an afternoon biking trip at abingdon, va. we were going to try and do the first 15 miles bike ride of the virginia creeper trail which is roughly 3 hours away from knoxville, tn. for my avid readers, (who??? me? myself? no, no, no...its only I!) i have written a blog before about the virginia creeper trail which is a 37 mile bike ride from white top mountain in virginia. ok, to cut the long story short, we thought there were trailer at the old barn bike shop & rentals in damascus ,who would take us up the mountain at 4:30 pm. well, there werent any at all in damascus. too bad for us. so we just ate soft ice cream on a nearby ice cream shop adn headed back to knoxville. instead of turning our trip to waste, we went to kingsport, tn. and foun a nice 9 mile paved trail across town but again, luck wasnt on our side. the paved road ended after 3 miles. My back was hurting and i chucked all over the paved road...ha ha ha. so. there it is. we just ate soem left over food and watched pink panther. darn. i remember the stupid slapstick movies of dolphy in the philippines. it was like that. just plain stupid stunts and acting stupidly infront of the cacmera. well, it did its job...at least to me. it made me laugh. it doesnt take as much effort to do so anyway. online class i cannot wait! i will be starting my one and only class this fall...statistics...it's an online class adn i sure do hope that i can handle the responsibility because if i cannot do it with one class, i will not be able to finish my degree through distance learning opportunities. It was no hassle since i decided to take up this class with my old college. so no sweat at all. i might have to do more prep for spring semester if i want to do some other classes on other online school. my college doesnt really carry a whole lot of courses that i want to take. oh well, i still have a long way to go but i guarantee that i will be more than just a hospital nurse. i will be somebody someday. back to school...again? i am planning to take up online courses to pursue my bachelors degree in nursing. nto that i am not earning enough money but i do not want to get stuck being a bedside nurse. i wanted to do something more like becoming a nurse practitioner, nurse anaesthesist, nurse researcher, public health nursing or forensic nursing. there are lots of opportunist available and i would like to be able to broadn my knowledge and skillsets as a professional nurse. planning is not that easy because i needed to consider a lot of factors. finances, time management, curriculums, pre-requisites, universities and colleges, pros and cons of distance learning programs and the list goes on and on. but i told myself that i will not go through another semester without taking up at least one course. i am thinking either statistics or western civilation which i failed (becasue i just stopped going to school and didnt withdraw form the class). i decided that since norwalk community college offers distance learning program, i will just apply for a re-admissiona and register for classes this fall 2006. i'll see how it goes. this is going to be a new experience and will take up much of my time especially now that i just started to do charge nursing in our unit. maybe i will be more responsible since i am so motivated in what i want to be in the future. time will tell. honda element 2006 i've got a new car! a black 2.7 Liters 4 cylinder Real Time (T) 4WD black 2006 honda element yes. the "ugly duckling" according to MSN car review experts who gave it a rating of 7/10 just because it was an "ugly duckling". It is a real sport utility vehicle with tons of space, an attitude (especially if it is a 5 speed manual transmission), good in snow, hight safety standards, unique (and not UGLY!) appearance, kickin sound system with 7 speakers and a built in subwoofer, a moonroof, easy clean up features, more miles for your gas money, and so much more!!! what can i say? i love this car! genuine SUV since it is very utilitarian in nature. and is made by HONDA. i need not say more... dell xps m1210 the laptop that chico gave me died shortly after our trip to the philippines. it was malfunstioning because of an overheated hard drive so i had to buy a new one. i was very excited about my new dell xps m1210. tiny, light weight, multi functional media center, widescreen monitor and has one of the best performance in laptop selections of its class. it only got a 7.3 rating from cnet.com experts but users were very satisfied with its reliability and durability.
what can i say? i love this magnificent electronic structure! made my life easier to organize and in style... giggidy. |
